Welcome to Sandhill Safaris!

Sandhill Safaris is an organization dedicated to providing outdoor adventures for the entire family.  Our outdoor "playground" stretches from north of the Niobrara River with its steep, heavily wooded canyons, to deep in the remote, mysterious Sandhills, all the way south to the North Loup River.

Activities offered by Sandhill Safaris include:

Western living - Live on a working ranch, exactly as the rancher/cowboy does.  Get involved in the day to day activities, and experience cowboy life as it is and has been for 100 years.

Equine activities, ranging from hour-long pony rides to 3-day overnight camp outs, complete with chuckwagon meals and historical talks by members of the native Lakota tribe.

Nature walks and camera safaris, featuring flora and fauna unique to the Sandhills and Niobrara.

Fishing and hunting, of numerous types and species.

Canoing, tubing, swimming, and other aquatic sports.

A petting zoo and playground for the little ones.

Participate or watch as World Class Cowboys engage in calf roping and other activities associated with that tradition of western life, rodeo.

See our craft room and enjoy the opportunity to purchase products unique to this area and life style.

Let your children enjoy a souvenir they will long remember, their picture on a T-shirt or sweater, with them mounted atop a horse or mule.
