Hunting Adventures

The KeyaPaha/Sandhill country offers a wide variety of hunting and shooting opportunities.  Some species, such as coyotes and prairie dogs, allow the hunter to keep sharp the entire year.  The KeyaPaha area is becoming known for its large white tail and mule deer racks.

Below is a partial list of  hunts provided by Sandhill Safaris:

Deer:   Mule deer and Whitetail.  Rifle, muzzle loader & bow.
Antelope: Bow only.
Grouse/Prairie Chickens.
Coyote:  Includes calling or hunting with hounds.
Turkey:  Spring or fall, shotgun or bow.
Pheasant.
Duck:  Probably our best hunting.  It is not unusual to see thousands of ducks coming in over your blind.
Canadian Geese.
Dove.
Cottontail/Jackrabbit.
Squirrel.

Prairie dog:  Year around shooting.
Raccoon:   Hunt with hounds.
Exotics:   Want a chance at a buffalo?

Sandhill Safaris will tailor a hunting packet to your specific desire.  Our basic fall packet includes room, meals, guide service, hunting area, game cleaned, frozen and bagged.  The cost for this package is $250 per day.  Turkey are included in our basic package with additional cost of $50 per turkey.

Deer and antelope hunts are extra.  We will guarantee at least a fair shot at a big buck, or there is no additional cost.

During the off season, especially the winter months, enjoy some truly unique hunting experiences.  Hunt the elusive coyote with  hounds, or try calling with an experienced caller.  For a  memorable adventure, hunt  raccoons with   Ron and Lance and their hounds.  Particularly with coyotes and raccoons, discover that the thrill of the chase is usually more exciting than the kill!

During the summer months, sharpen your rifle skills on the pesky prairie dog, or your shotgunning on skeet.
